Dan Dimancescu ... is president and founder of BEH lcc and BtF srl companies and is active in heritage restoration and tourism in Romania. Until 2003, he ran Technology & Strategy Group, a consulting company to Fortune 500 high-technology companies. He has taught at several universities (Dartmouth College, Boston University, University of Nantes) and is author or co-author of books on management and technology policy and most recently on Romania (Romania Redux). He has organized expeditions for the National Geographic (more) including articles covering the Danube River and the Romanian Carpathians. Mihai Gabriel Vaduva ... has over six years of professional experience in the finance industry in the United States and Europe specializing in investments, compliance and credit evaluations at the Bank of America/Fleet Boston Financial and the Romanian Development Bank. His academic background includes a Master in Finance/Insurance and a minor in Accounting as well as a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Craiova. He has completed specialization courses in finance at Boston University. Mr. Vaduva was born in Craiova the regional capital of Oltenia, located in southern Romania. |

Professor Radu Florescu ... was a faculty member at Boston College where he headed the East European Research Center of New England. He has contributed a large library of Romania-related books to the College and in 1996 was the first person to be designated 'Honorary Consul of Romania' in America. His work includes published works on legendary figures in literature including the fictional and real Dracula (See: In Search of Dracula, with Raymond T. McNally) and Frankenstein. His latest work is a biography of General Ioan Florescu (more), prominent in military affairs in the 1870s and later prime minister of Romania.
